Train to Nice, France
The night train to Nice was an experience. It was a full train; Margit and Tim were in one compartment, and Angie, Todd, and I were in another. Crowded by strangers, none of us got a good night's sleep.

We finally arrived in Nice and decided to walk down to the Mediterranean Sea. We dodged doggie do all the way.

The weather was hot on the French Riveria. The beach at Nice was rocky, not sandy. There were topless bathers on the beach.

I changed clothes at a table in a beach restaurant and went in the water.

I was surprised at how strong the surf was. It was fun to be in France again.

The strong breeze and incoming clouds cooled the afternoon. We had a picnic lunch a short distance from the train station. We saw a man crossing the street in what looked like long, furry slippers
